ESCORT Releases RedLine(TM), Latest Radar and Laser Detector

By pur, at Saturday, August 1st, 2009, in Light, Optics
RedLine

The RedLine is the most advanced radar, laser and safety detector ever designed by ESCORT. The RedLine includes full X, K, SuperWide Ka, and Safety Warning System radar capability, front and rear laser detection, dual antenna with varactor-tuned (VTO) microwave receiver, digital signal processing (DSP) for superior range and reduced false alarms, our patented Mute and AutoMute, audible and visual band alerts, and all the performance you’d expect from ESCORT. The RedLine's test-shattering performance represents another leap forward in detector technology for the industry and ESCORT. The sensitivity of the new RedLine can be attributed to its unique "twin turbo" receiver design which incorporates a patented twin antenna system and dual LNA's (low noise amplifiers)...

National Instruments Announces Free Communications IP Blocks for the NI LabVIEW FPGA Module

NI-LabVIEW-Evaluation-Kit

Free communications intellectual property (IP) blocks for the NI LabVIEW FPGA Module make possible to add serial peripheral interface (SPI) and inter-integrated circuit (I2C) devices to embedded systems developed on NI reconfigurable I/O (RIO) hardware platforms. National Instruments also has been working with component suppliers such as Analog Devices to develop drivers for common components such as microelectromechanical system (MEMS) sensors so that engineers and scientists quickly can integrate accelerometers, gyroscopes, temperature and other sensors into their embedded systems. Using new LabVIEW FPGA IP, engineers and scientists easily can incorporate devices based on SPI and I2C, two of the most widely used types of embedded digital communication protocols, with NI RIO hardware including the CompactRIO programmable automation controller (PAC), NI Single-Board RIO embedded devices and R Series multifunction RIO devices..

Analog Devices Announces Integrated Power Management Switching Regulators with ADP2114 Dual-output, Synchronous and Step-Down DC-to-DC Regulators

By pur, at Monday, August 3rd, 2009, in Embedded Device, Power, Programmable Logic, Signal Processing, Single Board Computer, SBC
ADP2114-Board

The ADP2114 supports switching frequencies up to 2 MHz with optimized gate slew rate, providing high-efficiency dc-to-dc conversion for dual- and single-rail devices such as the latest generation of Analog Devices’ ADCs (analog to digital converters) and other high-performance, submicron ICs such as DSPs (digital signal processors) and FPGAs (field programmable gate arrays). The ADP2114 achieves high power conversion efficiency up to 95 percent, enabling designers to reduce time to market and provide higher reliability for medical, consumer, communications infrastructure and industrial system applications. The first in a new family of dc-to-dc regulators, the ADP2114 combines the features, performance, flexibility, and ease-of-use into a single device that enables designers to solve many of their most challenging system voltage conversion problems..

Analog Devices Unveils ADA4051-2, Dual Channel, Ultra Low Power and Zero Drift Operational Amplifier

By pur, at Monday, August 3rd, 2009, in Embedded Device, IC, Chip, SoC, Power, Semiconductor
ADA4051-2

The compact ADA4051-2 is a chopper-stabilized op amp designed for portable and battery-powered instruments requiring high dc precision and measurement stability. These portable devices include gas analyzers, remote sensors, handheld medical devices and consumer gaming controllers. The ADA4051-2 features a new chopper architecture with ADI’s patent pending ACFB (auto-correction feedback loop) ripple-suppression technology to provide low offset voltage of 2 microvolts (typ) and 15 microvolts (max). The ADA4051-2 is a CMOS high precision operational amplifier featuring rail-to-rail input and output swing and extremely low offset voltage while operating from a 1...
