The MAX4895E is a complete VGA port protector IC designed to interface between a video graphics controller and VGA port connector. This device integrates HSYNC/VSYNC level-shifting buffers to ensure full compatibility with VESA VSIS specifications. The MAX4895E is ideal for use in notebook PCs, desktop computers, servers, and consumer video applications. This VGA interface solution integrates level-shifting buffers to support low-voltage CMOS or standard TTL-compatible graphics controllers. The MAX4895E also features I²C level shifting using two nMOS devices. All video outputs are characterized for ±15kV (Human Body Model) and ±8kV (IEC 61000-4-2 Contact Discharge) ESD protection. The device features low capacitance (3pF, max) on the RGB terminals, as well as low quiescent current (5µA, max) for high-bandwidth applications that require low power consumption...

The MAX17100 developed using Maxim's proprietary, high-voltage BiCMOS process, fulfills all the power requirements for GIP-based LCD monitor panels by integrating a boost regulator, three high-current operational amplifiers, a VCOM calibrator, linear regulators for gate-on and gate-off supplies, and a 6-channel level shifter. The MAX17100 designed to enable slimmer monitor form factors, the MAX17100 provides a cost-competitive solution for powering the source drivers, gate drivers, and VCOM backplane in LCD monitor panels. The MAX17100 delivers output voltages up to 18V from a 2.5V to 6V input while achieving > 85% efficiency. The integrated operational amplifiers drive the VCOM backplane and feature a 200mA short-circuit current with a 45V/µs slew rate. The 6-channel level shifter can swing from +35V to -15V and can swiftly drive capacitive loads. The MAX17100 also includes an I²C-controlled VCOM calibrator that provides 7-bit setting accuracy...

Two New Additions to National’s FPD-Link II SerDes Chipset Family (DS90UR905Q serializer & DS90UR906Q deserializer and DS90UR907Q serializer & DS90UR908Q deserializer) are the industry’s first serializer and deserializer (SerDes) chipsets capable of driving high-resolution, 24-bit color flat-panel displays with a 65 MHz clock, deliver a scalable pixel clock range (5 MHz to 65 MHz), enabling a modular platform for low-resolution (WQVGA) through high-resolution (XGA) infotainment displays. The higher resolution XGA display offers consumers an enhanced video experience, while the SerDes chipsets support an automobile manufacturer’s vehicle portfolio, from luxury to base models. The DS90UR905Q serializer and DS90UR906Q deserializer use a low-voltage CMOS (LVCMOS) parallel interface, and the DS90UR907Q serializer and DS90UR908Q deserializer, which use a low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) interface. The chipsets connect the graphics host processor with central information displays, rear seat displays, console displays and instrument panel displays. Having a choice in SerDes input and output interfaces allows the designer to select from a wide array of video sources and display panels...
