TS4982

The TS4982 Chip is the first single-chip audio subsystem IC to include 3D sound enhancement for improved stereo effects in small equipment, such as notebook PCs, mobile internet devices, gaming consoles, or any portable multimedia devices offering high-quality sound, enriching the consumer’s audio experience. The TS4982’s 3D sound-enhancement circuitry allows closely spaced speakers to deliver greater stereo spatial effects. This enables small devices to deliver a more satisfying, high-quality listening experience for users. The 3D effect is adjustable for low, medium or high volume levels, allowing equipment designers to optimize stereo enhancement according to the type and size of product. The level is set using two external pins on the device, and requires no additional circuitry. As an audio subsystem the TS4982 matches or exceeds the capabilities of competing devices: it includes a 2 x 2W stereo speaker driver; a 125mW stereo headphone driver; four-step digital volume control; pop-and-click reduction circuitry to attenuate unwanted system noises; and PC-beep pass-through capability...

TRF2443

The TRF2443 is integrated, high-linearity, low-noise intermediate frequency (IF) transceiver with cross-polarization interference cancellation (XPIC) support. The TRF2443 enables designers to reduce solution cost by 40 percent, power consumption by 30 percent, and space by 40 percent, as compared to discrete implementations. The TRF2443 broadband IF transceiver is the latest addition to Texas Instruments' high-performance RF product line for wireless communications, including: TRF3703 quadrature modulator, TRF3710 quadrature demodulator and TRF3761 RF synthesizers. Wireless infrastructure customers can accelerate time-to-market by taking advantage of TI's high-performance signal chain solutions that include market-leading analog-to-digital converters, such as ADS62P25, and digital-to-analog converters, such as DAC5662...

STGW30N120KD-and-STGW40N120KD

The STGW30N120KD and the STGW40N120KD are Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistors (IGBTs) that have low energy loss when conducting, like an ordinary IGBT, and also reduce losses while switching. These IGBTs achieve power savings using ST’s PowerMESH process, and deliver greater all-round energy efficiency. Lower switching losses allow a higher operating frequency, which, in turn, permits smaller and lower-cost components in power-control circuits. The 1200V IGBTs are capable of surviving short circuits lasting up to 10 microseconds, making them resistant to common causes of motor-controller failures, such as an error in the gate drive signal, shorting at grounding, and breakdown of motor phase-to-phase insulation. The new series is rated for 1200V operation, which allows use at higher AC line voltages such as 440V or 480V. The new devices join ST’s existing 600V low-loss IGBTs in providing one of the industry’s most extensive power-transistor portfolios. The STGW30N120KD and STGW40N120KD are for applications up to 30A and 40A, respectively...

MAX2839AS

The MAX2839AS is the industry's first single-chip, 2.3GHz to 2.7GHz, WiMAX MIMO RF transceiver in a 3.5mm x 5.1mm WLP (wafer-level package). This device builds on the success of the MAX2839 (QFN package), enabling ultra-small WiMAX modules for compact fixed and mobile applications. Using a dual-receiver architecture to mitigate RF channel fading by as much as 10dB compared to a single-receiver architecture, the transceiver maximizes data throughput in nomadic and mobile WiMAX subscriber applications such as notebook computers, express/PC cards, USB dongles, smartphones, and in-home desktop CPE modems. The MAX2839AS is ideal for mobile WiMAX, Korean WiBro, and other OFDM-based wireless broadband systems. Designed using Maxim's high-performance SiGe BiCMOS process, the MAX2839AS provides the industry's best receiver noise performance...
