The ASSP addresses the dramatic divergence between yesterday’s image resolution and the high resolution of today’s audio-visual (AV) display systems, and supports the low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) interface, a technology extensively adopted in broad ranges of flat panel displays, projectors for digital TVs (DTVs) and PC monitors. NEC Electronics and NEC Central Research Laboratories jointly developed a new technology that enables very high-resolution processing with just one frame of image data. NEC Electronics has been releasing super-resolution ASSPs based on this new technology since November 2008. The company has named its super-resolution ASSP lineup the “NeoClearResolution™ (Bikaizo™)” and now offers the new µPD9281GC NeoClearResolution ASSP with LVDS interface...

NEC Electronics Announces Twelve New 16-bit All Flash Microcontrollers with Built-In USB 2.0 Function

16-bit-MCU-with-USB-2

NEC Electronics announced twelve new 16-bit All Flash™ microcontrollers (MCUs) (six 48-pin MCUs (78K0R/KC3-L) and six 64-pin MCUs (78K0R/KE3-L)) with built-in Universal Serial Bus (USB) 2.0 function. USB 2.0 is an interface standard used in PCs and peripherals. With its fast data transfer and connectivity, USB 2.0 is now also widely used in consumer electronics devices such as digital audio visual (A/V) appliances and healthcare appliances, as well as factory automation (FA) equipment such as measurement systems. The consumer electronics devices and healthcare diagnostic instruments also include systems that are battery driven, such as portable audio players and blood glucose meters. Therefore, system designers of these devices and manufacturers are concerned about power consumption and battery life...

ANADIGICS-Power-Amplifiers

HSPA+ is the next evolution of high-speed packet access (HSPA) wireless broadband technology, offering greater capacity for data throughput compared to current 3G networks. Novatel Wireless’ Ovation™ MC996D and MC998D wireless broadband USB modems give laptop PC and notebook users upload speeds as high as 5.76 Mbps and download speeds of 21.6 Mbps or higher on HSPA+ networks, enabling high-quality user experiences with video, multimedia, gaming and other data-intensive mobile applications. ANADIGICS PAs deliver the power and linearity required for high-speed uplinks in EDGE, WCDMA, HSPA, and HSPA+ modes...

ON Semiconductor Expands N-Channel Power MOSFET Portfolio with 12 New 100 Volt Devices
