MAX9700-Diagram

The MAX97000, MAX97001 and MAX97002 family of mono audio subsystems combine a high-efficiency, Class D mono speaker amplifier with distortion limiter; a DirectDrive II Class H stereo headphone amplifier; and an ultra-low-noise, analog bypass switch. Maxim's DirectDrive II technology utilizes a dual-mode internal charge pump that operates at ±0.9V for low signal levels, only switching to ±1.8V for signals that require higher output power. This innovative architecture minimizes power consumption while avoiding the signal discontinuity problems that plague other Class H implementations. Providing the industry's best efficiency (87%, typ) and audio quality, the MAX97000–MAX97002 are ideal for cellular phones, portable media players (PMPs), and other applications that require high audio quality, output power, and efficiency. The MAX97000–MAX97002 feature high RF/TDMA noise rejection and best-in-class click-and-pop suppression with no audible artifacts at power on/off , both of which simplify the design iteration process. The subsystems also feature input mixing, volume control, and a flexible, user-defined input architecture with preamplifier gain settings. All controls are enabled through an I²C interface...

MAX17122

The MAX17122 is a multiple-output power-supply IC that integrates three regulators whose high-efficiency and fixed-frequency operation allow the use of small inductors and capacitors. This results in a compact and cost-competitive solution for the power requirements of thin-film transistor (TFT) LCD HDTV panels. The MAX17122 operates from 8V to 16.5V input voltages and is optimized for applications running directly from 12V regulated supplies. The MAX17122 includes a 22V internal-switch step-down regulator for digital logic; a 16.5V internal-switch step-up regulator to power the TFT source drivers; and a temperature-compensated 36V internal-switch boost-buck regulator that produces a negative output which varies according to the temperature sensed by an external NTC thermistor. The GATE output directly drives an external p-channel MOSFET to provide True Shutdown of the step-up output. The MAX17122 is available in a 6mm x 6mm, 40-pin TQFN package and operates over the -40°C to +85°C temperature range...

MAX16067-and-MAX16068

The MAX16067 and MAX16068 are flash-configurable sequencers/monitors that simplify power management and fault diagnostics. These devices integrate a ±1%-accurate ADC for voltage monitoring/sequencing in complex systems where high reliability is critical. Additionally, they feature nonvolatile fault registers to store and read back fault data. An easy-to-use graphical configuration tool eliminates the need for tedious, time-consuming programming of complex devices like CPLDs and microprocessors. The MAX16067 and MAX16068 are well suited for networking, telecom, servers, and data-storage applications. The MAX16067 and MAX16068 have a wide 2.8V to 14V operating voltage range, which allows operation directly from an intermediate bus voltage. They also offer a range of precise, sequencing time delays to optimize system power-up time. The MAX16067 manages and sequences up to six supply voltages simultaneously, and the MAX16068 monitors up to six supply voltages. Both devices are fully specified over the -40°C to +85°C extended temperature range. They are available in 5mm x 5mm, 28- and 32-pin TQFN packages...

IPD

The µPD166017, µPD166019, µPD166020 and µPD166021 are four new intelligent power devices (IPDs). Each high-side IPD is applicable for automotive lighting and other critical vehicle loads. Designed for on-board electronic control units (ECUs) typically used in head- and fog-light applications, the new devices, or power ICs, have an embedded power MOSFET for switching and a control chip for protection features in a single package. The IPDs strongly contribute to the improvement of the ECUs’ efficiency, which help designers to develop environmentally-friendly automobiles...
