Texas Instruments (TI) introduced OPAx140, OPAx209 and OPAx171 series, three new families of 36-V single, dual and quad operational amplifiers (op amp) with industrial precision. The OPAx140 JFET input op amp series features rail-to-rail output, as well as the lowest noise and widest supply range in its class. The OPAx209 precision op amp series combines rail-to-rail output and very low voltage noise density with wide gain bandwidth. The general-purpose OPAx171 family features the industry's smallest packages – up to 90 percent smaller than industry-standard packaging to reduce board space.

Maxim Integrated Products introduces the DS3065WP, 8Mb NonVolatile (NV) SRAM module with embedded real-time clock (RTC) and battery in a PowerCap package. The DS3065WP consists of a static RAM, a nonvolatile (NV) controller, and a real-time clock (RTC). These components are packaged on a surface-mount substrate and require post-assembly attachment of a DS9034IPCX+ battery cap. Whenever VCC is applied to the module, it powers the clock and SRAM from the external power source, and allows the contents of the clock registers or SRAM to be modified. When VCC is powered down or out of tolerance, the controller write protects the memory contents and powers the clock and SRAM from the battery.

Allegro MicroSystems Announces A4941, new three-phase, sensorless, brushless DC motor driver IC to complement their existing family of brushless DC devices. The A4941 motor driver offers sensorless commutation, a wide supply voltage range, 1.25 A peak output current, -40°C to 105°C operating temperature range, lock detection with auto restart, and a small eTSSOP package with soft switching for reduced audible noise. This new device is targeted at the consumer white goods and office automation markets with key fan applications used in refrigerators and air purifiers.
