PSoC Creator is a state-of-the-art software development IDE combined with a revolutionary graphical design editor to form a uniquely powerful hardware/software co-design environment. SoC Creator offers a unique combination of hardware configuration and software development in a single, unified tool. This co-design approach is revolutionary. It frees embedded designers from the innovation-killing division between hardware design and software development. Gone is the time-consuming, inflexible dogma of hardware re-spins and software hacks. ut this tool is not simply the joining together of a state-of-the-art software development IDE with an intuitive graphical design editor. The tools are truly integrated to enable immediate testing of new ideas, rapid response to hardware changes, error-free software interaction with on-chip peripherals, and full visibility into the design from the built-in debugger. Cypress also offers fully functional, free compilers with no code size limitations for both the PSoC 3 and PSoC 5 device families. The Keil CA51 Compiler for PSoC 3 and the GNU GCC-ARM Compiler for PSoC 5 are both bundled with the PSoC Creator distribution. PSoC Creator also includes a built-in debugger to support the on-chip debug and trace functionality provided in all PSoC 3 and PSoC 5 devices.
