Global Unichip Announces Mass Production of GP1680, Highly Integrated SoC for Surveillance Applications
GP1680 is highly integrated SoC for surveillance applications. It supports 4 channel video inputs and deploys a quad module that composes four videos into one screen for preview application. The display layout on the screen is programmable. Motion detection function can issue an interrupt if there is a motion captured by the camera. The sensitivity and area of interest are programmable. Each H.264 engine is capable of D1 resolution (720×480) image at 30 FPS frame rate. D1 and CIF (352×240) mode are supported. H.264 is the format when video is saved. GP1680 equips four H.264 Encoders and H.264 Decoders for video recording and playback. Videos can be saved to hard disk through PCI, IDE interface or save to SDIO / USB OTG interface. The remote PC can access GP1680 through Ethernet. The TV encoder can display the video decoded by the H.264 Decoder for playback from Hard disk. There are digital audio interface per each channel for audio recording and playback. In addition, GP1680 support multi-chip solution through PCI bus for up to 16 channels D1 DVR application…
