The combination of the IDT Serial RapidIO Gen2 products with the TI next-generation DSPs provide a turnkey solution for industry-leading performance and interoperability in 3G and 4G wireless platforms.
The combined IDT/TI solution produces significantly higher speeds and control of the switch fabric traffic in networks with large clusters of DSPs, which is critical to achieve the next node of performance in 3G and 4G wireless applications. The IDT Serial RapidIO Gen2 solutions, which are backwards compatible with RapidIO 1.3, will allow system designers to improve overall system level performance in wireless, video/imaging and military applications. This is achieved by the higher lane speeds of the Serial RapidIO Gen2 specification, which runs at double the speed of the current 1.3 version solutions — all in the same small package form factors…
