The M8051 is one of Mentor Graphics popular lines of intellectual property, with a large number of customers both large and small. The M8051 is a silicon-proven synthesizable core processor, which is binary compatible to 8051 devices and is available in both VHDL and Verilog formats. IPextreme will package M8051 cores in its XPack technology to support all major EDA flows, including Mentor Graphics Precision [TM] FPGA synthesis tools. In addition, users M8051 cores can take advantage of the vast ecosystem assessment systems, development systems, compilers and application software for the architecture of 8051.
