The LTM8031 is a complete 1A DC/DC regulator system-in-a-package. The LTM8031 is the second member of Linear’s new electromagnetic-compatible (EMC) DC/DC uModule® family. The LTM8031 includes the inductor, switching DC/DC controller, power switches, filters and all support components housed in a 9mm x 15mm x 2.82mm land grid array (LGA) package. The switching frequency of the LTM8031 can be adjusted from 200kHz to 2.4MHz with a resistor or synchronized to an external clock. The device operates from a wide input voltage range of 3.6V to 36V and regulates an output voltage from 0.8V to 10V at up to 1A. Applications for the LTM8031 include converting and regulating automotive battery voltage, distributed power supply and high voltage industrial and avionics systems.
