Maxim Introduces MAX13362, a 24-Channel Switch-Contact Monitor for Automotive Switches

The MAX13362 device enables a single microcontroller to monitor up to 24 mechanical switches distributed throughout the automobile, thus eliminating the expense of multiple remote microcontrollers. The MAX13362 protects low-voltage circuitry from high voltages (27V, max) and reverse-battery conditions, making it well suited for monitoring remote mechanical switches that are exposed to adverse conditions.
