Summit Microelectronics Introduces the SMB274 Programmable Driver for the LensVector Solid-State AutoFocus Device
The SMB274 is a programmable driver for LensVector AutoFocus (LVAF) devices that provides focus control and temperature control functions. System integration is facilitated by the serial I2C/SMBus digital interface and integrated non-volatile OTP configuration. A programmable complementary output AC driver controls the LVAF device over the focusing range. The programmable high voltage is internally generated by a built-in charge pump circuit. The programmable AC frequency can be taken from the internal oscillator or from an external clock. Transient and steady state drive are automatically provided in turn. Temperature compensation for the AF drive is provided by integrated sensor feedback and algorithm. Low power standby mode extends battery life while preserving the volatile programmed settings and I2C communications. Additionally a hardware shutdown mode reduces power to nearly zero. The SMB274’s operating range is +2.7V to +5.5Vand the operating temperature range is -20C to +75C. It is available in an ultra small 1.34mm x 2.34mm 15-ball (0.4mm pitch) WLCSP or 4mm x 4mm QFN-24 (Engr only) package…
