PCM Telemetry Encoder is a highly automated remote sensing technique; using which parameters such as velocity, altitude, temperature etc. are measured at remote locations, and the results transmitted to a distant station where they are displayed, recorded, and analyzed. PCM Telemetry is a way of encoding data in a serial digital format, and transmitting it on a carrier to another location for decoding and analysis. PCM systems are preferred over analog systems as they are less susceptible to noise and due to the relative ease of transmit, record, and analyze digital data…

(Nasdaq: OVTI), a leading independent supplier of CMOS CameraChip(TM) image sensors and eASIC Corporation, the leading provider of zero mask-charge ASIC devices, announced the availability of the eDVR91, an MPEG-4 camera reference design suitable for a broad range of applications including camcorders, security and surveillance cameras and automotive vision systems.
The FSE Ver. 4 for embedded systems can recognize the person and identify specific individuals video surveillance. The FSE Ver. 4 reduces network traffic monitoring systems, which is a problem when large amounts of video data. Instead of sending massive video data, the new approach may give part or separate video images transmitted over the network…
OKI Launches FSE Ver. 4, a Face Recognition Middleware for Embedded Systems
Expands face recognition application by enhancing functions for the surveillance market
Oki Electric Industry Co., Ltd. (TOKYO:6703) announced its launch of a face recognition middleware for the surveillance market. The “FSE[tm] (Face Sensing Engine[tm]) Ver.4″ for embedded systems can detect faces and identify specific human beings from surveillance videos. OKI plans to offer an embedded video recognition module with a human tracking function shortly, and when this module is combined with the system, once the face is detected from the video, the system can continue to track that specific person through other features, even when his/her face is not seen on the camera.
